Dispelling myths: Are Ion Air Purifiers Dangerous Due to Ozone Production?
Share
Hello everyone and welcome to our daily blog post.
In this post we would like to talk about Ozone in the air and either the Ion Purifiers are safe for use in indoor spaces Enjoy reading :))
Ion air purifiers work by releasing negative ions into the air, which attach to positively charged particles such as dust, pollen, and smoke, causing them to settle out of the air. While this process is effective at improving air quality, some ion air purifiers can produce ozone as a byproduct. Ozone, a lung irritant, can exacerbate respiratory problems and cause other health issues when present in high concentrations.
However, not all ion air purifiers produce harmful levels of ozone. The key is to choose a high-quality ion air purifier that is specifically designed to minimize or eliminate ozone production. The Arctic Air M1 is one such purifier, utilizing advanced ionization technology to ensure that it operates safely without generating harmful ozone levels.
Our rigorous testing has confirmed that the Arctic Air M1 maintains an ozone concentration well below the safety threshold, making it a safe choice for improving indoor air quality. By selecting an ion air purifier like the Arctic Air M1 that adheres to strict safety standards, you can enjoy the benefits of cleaner, fresher air without the associated risks of ozone exposure.

To ensure our quality here is the conducted tests results below:
Test Results and Methodology:
Sample Name: Arctic Air M1 Sample Test Period: 2024/12/6 - 2024/12/7 Test Item(s): Ozone concentration test in the air
Test Method: To verify the safety and effectiveness of the Arctic Air M1, we conducted a comprehensive ozone concentration test. The test involved placing the sample in a 3m³ sealed space and connecting the power supply (AC220V) to ensure the product operated normally. We positioned the collection port of the ozone concentration instrument at 5CM from the outlet of the tested sample and recorded the ozone concentration data for a continuous operation period of 24 hours.
Testing Instrument: 2B ozone meter (106-L)
Test Findings:
The results of the 24-hour continuous operation test revealed that the Arctic Air M1 consistently maintained an ozone concentration below 0.008 PPM. The maximum ozone concentration recorded was 0.008 PPM, which meets the stringent national safety standards of GB 4706.45-2008/IEC 60335-2-65:2005 (Ed2.0).
